Hansa-Brandenburg D.I ... a little gem

Clearly, this is a obscure subject like almost the entire Imperial Austrian war aircraft up to the end of the Great War. This was a German design but its poor performance relegated it to Austrian service.

Nevertheless, it is a marvelous subject to scale modellers due to its aspect and multiple schemes we can do.

This project was made with the Toko kit in 1/72th scale. Not impressive at all when one open the box, but the final result should be extraordinary and really an eye catcher in anyone's model collection.

The level of details is impressive. I needed to simulate various shades of wood. The kit has a decal to simulate the fuselage natural wood grain, but the hand made painting should be superb. In summary, a little gem...
