Aviatik DI...

This is the excellent Flashback 1/48 kit representing one of the most famous Austrian flying machines in WWI. Specifically, DI was the first totally austrian design fighter.
Moreover, the Austrian Air Force was the only one in use that kind of logenze pattern with big hexagons and color combinations.
The model represent the mount of  Oberleutnat Linke-Crawford, a very well known machine.

The kit is easy to build and the large lozenge decals runs very well. The final look of the model is odd and toy-like. Time photos show that the pattern is correct, but not so shocking contrast among colors...who knows how it looked then.

In any case, a model of the Aviatik DI, with any camo scheme, is a must in every WWI aircraft models collection.
