Kor-2 or Be-4...

This is another obscure plane of the second generation of hydroplanes designed by the Soviet industry at the final of thirties. Not impressive at all, was a quantum leap as a replacement of KOR-1 as a naval reconnaissance embarked aircraft. Less than 50 were constructed.

The kit was from a Polish company RPM in 1/72 scale. It is a basic design, but plenty of opportunities for scratch building. Not my case, I was bored when I begun this project, mainly after look the transparent parts of the kit: an absolute ruin. I change the engine by another from my spares. The final result, contrary to my initial expectation, is a not too bad subject and looks great among another soviet planes of that era. 

KOR-1 or Be-2...not good enough for production

This ugly aircraft was one of the first soviet hydroplane indigenous design. Was the idea of the novel Beriev, who will become the most important hydroplane designer of the URSS and of the world maybe.

the A-model kit in 1/72 is a good rendition to this little known plane.
