T-6 Texan FACH
Just before USA entered the war, Chile put an order for the excellent AT-6 advanced trainer.
This machine flew over every zone in our extensive territory. It's was sturdy and dependable and had a long operational life.
This is the Academy kit in 1/72th scale. Easy to build. FACH T-6 wore a lot of schemes, some very attractive indeed. But I choose the boring natural metal finish of the early service times because I needed to practice and test some Model Master buffing paint shades.
The result was very close to old pics shows...
P.S.: (03/2015) The numeral of my subject didn't exist. FACH T-6 was numbered between 200 and 299 and I modeled a non existent plane, because, en rigeur, no one T-6 in FACH inventory used this kind of loop antenna.
Lockheed 10 Electra - LAN CC-CLF
Lockheed Electra was one of the first machines LAN operates in the extreme south of my country. My father flew it some times in the route Punta Arenas - Porvenir crossing the Magellan Street in the second half of forties.
This model is based on the 1/72th Special Hobby. Excellent kit, with smooth surface and delicate recessed panels. I did the decals with Testors products.
NMF was paint with Model Master buffing aluminum.
Flettner 282 Kolibri
Congratulations to Huma for its kit collection!! Among the unusual subject inside the catalog is this extraordinary kit: the 1/72th Kolibri, the first operational helicopter in the world. Herr Flettner get the solution to control the torque by means of a dual main rotor; this solution was successfully adopted by Kaman helicopters after the war... and Mister Flettner, became a CEO of that company for many years.
The model, of course, is a real eye-catcher in the showcase...
Kawanishi H6K Mavis
This is the marvelous Hasegawa kit in 1/72th scale...a gem really. At the contrary of Hasegawa's H8K Emily, this kit has no rivets and looks like much more real.
Is a monster in the shelf but with no doubts is the queen of the showcase.
She is so big that caused a big trouble to take pics...
No decals at all...just masking
The level of detail of the kit is notable...
